Congratulations Hemel and their away support, good atmosphere at the Thunderdome this afternoon for a fantastic match. Lots of fouls called, I think a couple of technical/US fouls plus 6 players fouled out I believe. 2 for Hemel, 4 for Thunder. Arguably the longer the match went on the more likely we were to lose. A foul on Zaire would have seen us reduced to 4 players I think.
Didn't think that Trayvonn had that much impact on the match, he seemed about as good as any of their players. Bode seemed to do very well. Hemel look set to make the playoffs after all if they keep that up. Maybe see them again in the final!!
I said Bode did well, just seen the stats, 41 points, 11 rebounds! 13/14 from 2 point range.
Zaire got 33, Jorge 32. Neither played to the best of their abilities and on any other night would have won this before overtime.
Zaire and Bode both played the entire 50 minutes. Jorge too other than fouling out right at the end.
Jorge 7/7 free throws, although he'll be disappointed to only get 1/7 3 pointers seeing as his percentage was 70% for January I believe.
B.Freckleton, 10/10 free throws.
Outstanding quality game from both teams.
Actually, I'll take the bit in bold back. I'm just going through the highlights, and Zaire in particular had an amazing game, despite all the intense defence from Hemel, Zaire and Jorge still managed something like 65 points between them.
He looked good yesterday, 12 points in 20 minuets off the bench. A good replacement for Luke, and certainly gives us something we need as we look for those five more wins to ensure we stay up He was slightly overshadowed by 19 points, 13 assists, five rebounds and four steals by Sam Newman, though
Congratulations to the champions of the various BE finals that took place today...
> Worthing took the Trophy 84-80 against Loughborough > Westminster defended their Patrons Cup title with a 98-64 win over Ipswich > University of Chester won the battle of the NBL3 regions, beating Medelynas 88-83 to claim the Shield
Just got back from the Thunder match, what an exciting, electric match that was! Thunder behind for 38 minutes, come back to steal the victory. Great atmosphere. Zaire scored a few late on which made the difference.
Thunder did their best to throw it away in the last few minutes but held on for a 1 point win. Solent's shot on the buzzer missing out. Solent still have the head to head though so we'll need them to lose 2 more matches and win all ours if we want to win the league. That assumes Thames Valley and Loughborough both lose something I guess. They're playing each other twice this weekend so they may have a loss each from that anyway.
Would be good to see Tees Valley back, always enjoyed the live streams.

chickenbroncitis: a good result to beat the sharks. Hopefully Lions getting rid of that coach will give us a good play off push and put us in the mix with the Eagles and Riders where we should be
